Quando ogni risata si spegne nel dolore e le lacrime sono diventate un’inondazione,
quando tutte le guerre hanno trovato una causa nell’umana saggezza e nel sangue,
pensi che piangeranno di tristezza?
Pensi che batteranno ciglio?
Pensi che malediranno la pazzia?
Credi persino che ci penseranno?

Quando tutti i grandi sistemi galattici sospirano ad una gelida sosta nello spazio,
pensi che resterà qualcosa della bellezza dell’umanità?
Pensi che ne rimarrà traccia, sentore o lacrima cosmica?
Pensi che una cosa pensante più grande se ne importerà che l’uomo era qui?
